STRKAN s.r.o. was founded in 2012. This company ties into the strong engineering tradition of its partners and of the region. Its original business plan to offer its customers - engineering companies - services consisting of producing machines, including their structural design documentation and their production - was quickly expanded to also include the development and production of the machine and equipment that it designs.

In 2021 STRKAN s.r.o. moved into its own manufacturing and office spaces in Město Touškov, a town nearby Pilsen.

The company has its own technical design department and manufacturing spaces - with a materials preparation room, a welding room, a machining room with several CNC mills and spaces for clean assembly.

STRKAN s.r.o. is actively involved in programmes to support research, development and innovation, and it cooperates with the academic sphere as well as research organisations.

Its representatives work e.g. in the Regional Council for Research, Development and Innovation, in the Mechatronics cluster and in the Intelligent Production Systems platform.

STRKAN s.r.o. has implemented an ISO 9001:2016 quality control system: "Design and production of automation systems including robotic systems; Metalwork production, service and assembly". Is also audited according  1090 and 15085 (conformity assesment of steel structures; design, production/manufacturing, testing, and conformity assessment of welded railway vehicles, components, and assemblies

From its regionally oriented beginnings, STRKAN has grown into a company cooperating with partners in business throughout the nation and in Slovakia, Germany and other neighbouring countries.
